Some Of You Have Been Migrated To This New List
Friends, welcome to this new What’s New in Microsoft 365 list. This is the successor to the old Office 365 list. You are my second round of testers. For this round of testing I migrated you directly from the old list without you having to go through the subscription process. I also removed you from the old list. I will similarly migrate the rest of the subscribers from the old list if this works well with y’all.
This new list works the same way; only the name and the software behind it have changed. The original software had served us well for years, but it was showing its age. Microsoft rebranded Office 365 to Microsoft 365 long ago, and the old codebase was increasingly hard to maintain and extend. Rather than patch around the edges, I rebuilt the service from scratch (and, yes, I used an AI coding agent to help, specifically Cursor).
The new system should capture more of what Microsoft publishes. Most sources still come from RSS feeds, chiefly Microsoft Tech Community boards. Several important Microsoft blogs, however, never offered a reliable feed. The new software can scrape those sites directly. Examples include the Microsoft 365 Blog, Microsoft Copilot Blog, Microsoft Security Blog, and several Power Platform blogs. Posts that the old tool would have missed should now show up in your bi-weekly digests.
You can see the full, current catalog on Sources.
btw, I plan on using this blog announcement feature sparingly ;)
