Privacy Policy

This tool generates and sends digests of blog posts via email. Therefore, it requires you to provide an email address. As the operator of this tool, I may occasionally send messages to inform you of changes to, or operational problems with, the mailing list. This is not a discussion list, and subscribers cannot reply to or post messages for distribution. You will only receive messages from the tool or from me.

I will never share your email address with anyone. I will not share this personal information with my employer, any commercial entity, or anyone else. This is a non-commercial personal project.

The email address you provide is stored in a database on my server. Subscribing adds your information to this database. Unsubscribing removes it. I am the only person with access to this database. I may remove your email address from this database if the tool is having trouble sending digests to you, or for any other reason I feel is appropriate.

This tool uses a double opt-in subscription process:

• You submit your email address in a web form (Subscribe).
• The tool sends you an email message containing a confirmation link.
• Clicking this link opens a web browser and confirms your subscription.

Twice a week (Tuesday and Friday), the tool creates a digest and sends one personalized email message to each subscriber. An archive of these messages is maintained at m365.cannell.org. This archive contains only digest content and no subscriber email addresses.

An unsubscribe link is provided at the bottom of each digest email. Clicking this link opens an unsubscribe confirmation page; after you confirm, you will be unsubscribed and sent an email notification. You are welcome to forward digests to colleagues. However, if someone accidentally confirms your unsubscribe link, you can simply subscribe again. Each digest also includes a subscribe link.

Bot protection on subscribe

The Subscribe form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated abuse. When you submit the form, Cloudflare may process browser and device signals to distinguish legitimate visitors from bots. Your email address is not sent to Cloudflare for this check—only a short-lived verification token from the widget. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for how they handle that data.

Cookies

This website only uses cookies during the double opt-in subscription process (including the Turnstile challenge on subscribe). Otherwise, this website does not use cookies.
